  • Finance Director/Controller

Our portfolio includes Booster Juice franchises, Su Casa custom home builds and interior design, and Devout Development projects.     Key Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Oversight:

    Oversee our bookkeeping for all three branches: Booster Juice, Su Casa, and Devout Development.
    Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
    Manage inter-company financial matters and streamline financial processes, especially for Booster Juice, which operates through multiple entities.

    2. Strategic Financial Planning:

    Participating with the leadership and help develop and implement budgeting strategies to support growth and profitability across all business units.
    Assess and current profit-sharing structures and financial plans, particularly for Su Casa and Booster Juice.
    Help to build Proformas for new Booster Juice for new store purchases.

    3. Risk Management:

    Ensure we are in good standing with each of our entities legally and financially, preparing annual reports are updated and filed each year.
    Work with CEO to negotiate with banks and manage relationships with financial institutions and investment partners.

    4. Team Leadership:

    Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
    Collaborate with key stakeholders, including shareholders and partners, to align financial goals with business objectives.

    5. Operational Efficiency:

    Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to optimize operational efficiency across Su Casa and Booster Juice.
    Prepare an analysis of current financial system and software. Make a recommendation for best option to streamline financial reporting in the future.
    Work closely with the COO to shore up financial reporting needs and provide insights for strategic decision-making

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
    Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a diversified business environment. (8-10 years)
    Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
    Proven track record in strategic financial planning, risk management, and process improvement.
    Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    Ability to navigate complex financial structures and inter-company transactions.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    High integrity, strong work ethic, and servant leadership qualities.
    Proficiency in English and strong technical skills.
    Organized and detail-oriented, with the capability to clean up and set up sophisticated financial systems and software.
    Humble and willing to step in and help out where needed in a small company environment.
    Young enough to bring passion and fire to the role, with the experience to have developed humility and wisdom.

  • Senior Interior Designer

    Position
    Full-Time, Permanent
    NOTE: Only applicants that are willing to work in person at our Abbotsford Design Studio will be considered.

    What The Role Looks Like

    Working full time at our Abbotsford location, the Senior Interior Designer is highly experienced in supporting and participating with a design team in creating functionally beautiful spaces for residential clients. Using industry knowledge, design experience, innovative design concepts and creativity, each project will also stay aligned with the Su Casa Design brand.

    Responsibilities and Capabilities

    • Consistently bring great, fresh ideas that are project appropriate, captures the
    look and aesthetic of the project needs and Su Casa Design brand positioning.
    • Work on projects from all phases of design through installment, including but not limited to: CAD drawings, sourcing, procurement, scheduling, and customer service.
    • Work directly with, and manage with team to guide, create, and present presentation boards to include CAD drawings, mood boards, FF&E, surface materials, color palettes, and lighting, plumbing, etc.
    • Independently review approved set of construction documents, including conceptual space plans, furniture plans, RCP plans, and key elevations, and asses the documents for final approval and/or modifications.
    • Generate plan specifications based on client needs and contract requirements.
    • Provide design support and administration during all phases of completion and
    execution of design concepts and projects.
    • Source and work with outside vendors to procure and coordinate all furniture, fixtures, & accessories.
    • Manage multiple projects at once and maintain a daily task list for assigned projects.

    Qualifications

    • 8+ years of Interior Design Experience, preferably from a design specific firm.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school
    • Highly skilled in AutoCAD and SketchUp, along with working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Skilled at researching finish materials and knowledge of their required applications as well as installation requirements.
    • Proven ability to create comprehensive concept and material schedules that include enough information for quality installation and ordering with few questions of clarification by installers.
    Proven track record of achieving goals in a deadline-based industry and regularly shows the ability to seek out and finds solutions to problems as they come up while maintain overall control.
    • Demonstrates the need for open and direct communication both verbally and in writing and possesses leadership ability.
    • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.
    • Knowledge of design requirements, construction methods and materials for high
    end residential environments.
    • Great ability to multitask, work independently as well as a team, fearless and ambitious.
    • Must be able to see a project through to completion.
    • Own a reliable vehicle for site visits.

  • Senior 

    Residential Drafting Technician

    Position
    Full-Time, Permanent
    NOTE: Only applicants that are willing to work in person at our Abbotsford Design Studio will be considered.

    What The Role Looks Like

    Working full time at our Abbotsford location, the Senior Drafting Technician is experienced in supporting the Drafting Team Lead by producing quality drawings in an expedient manner. They will also support the team lead by having excellent communication skills and by being a continual learner.

    Responsibilities

    ~ Creation of preliminary and construction/permit drawings for custom single-family homes.
    ~ Develop floor plan and exterior concepts based on sketches/direction from Creative Lead
    ~ Able to see a project from concept to permit ready with or without other team members where applicable.
    ~ Analyze complicated siting, zoning, client requirements in various jurisdictions.
    ~ Understand and apply implications of zoning, code requirements to concept drawings.
    ~ Redline revisions with ability to check his or her own work for accuracy and being able to problem solve.
    ~ Organize and file project related information.
    ~ Work in a team-oriented approach, willing to jump on high-priority projects to assist others in meeting deadlines.

    Proficient in Communications

    ~ With other colleagues drafting / design team members
    ~ With clients and consultants to see a project through to permit ready drawings.
    ~ With city planners, plan checkers to resolve project deficiencies
    ~ Any CAD related problems and questions to a Team Leader or CAD manager.
    ~ Requirements of design to colleagues/ junior drafting team members where required.

    Qualifications

    ~ A certificate, degree, or diploma in Architectural Drafting, or Architectural and Building Technology (or a related discipline) from an accredited post-secondary institution.
    ~ Minimum 6-7 years of Drafting or Architectural experience in Single Family Design required.
    ~ Technical knowledge of building systems, construction methods and materials.
    ~ Understanding of BC Building Code and building envelope concepts.
    ~ Proficient in modelling & drafting in Revit, familiar with AutoCAD software for coordination
    ~ Proven track record of achieving goals in a deadline-based industry and regularly shows the ability to seek out and finds solutions to problems as they come up while maintaining project schedules.
    ~ Able to work in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects at once.
