We’re seeking an Interior Design Team Lead to join our talented design team and lead the delivery of exceptional high-end residential projects. This role combines hands-on design excellence with strong people leadership and mentorship within the Interior Design department, and active participation within the senior leadership team.
As Team Lead, you’ll serve as a key leader and mentor to a diverse team of senior, intermediate and junior designers while overseeing a small portfolio of key projects. You’ll uphold Su Casa Design’s standard of excellence by delivering industry-leading, forward-thinking, and client-focused design solutions. With your strong design background, developed people leadership skills, and client relationship expertise, you’ll ensure project success from concept through completion while elevating the capabilities and performance of the entire team.
This is a role for an experienced designer with proven leadership abilities—someone ready to operate with significant autonomy, take ownership of high-stakes projects, inspire and develop others, and contribute meaningfully to the strategic direction of the company.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of senior, intermediate and junior designers, supporting their professional growth and development
• Provide regular constructive feedback, technical guidance, and career development support
• Demonstrate strong people leadership by creating a collaborative, supportive environment
• Review and approve work from designers to ensure consistency with Su Casa Design standards
• Model best practices in design process, client communication, project delivery, and professional conduct
• Address performance issues and development needs with empathy and clear direction
• Contribute to departmental design standards, quality benchmarks, and process improvements
• Participate actively in design reviews, team meetings, and strategic planning discussions at a senior leadership level
• Lead the interior design team to deliver high-end residential interior design projects from concept through installation
• Lead and manage key interior design projects
• Oversee resource planning for the interior design team
• Set design direction and oversee all project phases: concept development, CAD drawings, sourcing, procurement, scheduling, and client communication
• Review and approve final construction documents (furniture plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, etc.)
• Collaborate with vendors and trade partners to procure furnishings and materials; build and maintain relationships with these partners
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and profitability; anticipate and resolve challenges proactively
• Ensure timely and clear communication with clients, builders, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships
• Lead client presentations and meetings with confidence and professionalism
• Handle difficult situations and conversations diplomatically when expectations are not met or challenges arise
• Manage complex client expectations and serve as primary point of contact for assigned projects
• Represent Su Casa Design professionally in all client interactions
• 12+ years of interior design experience in high-end residential design
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited institution
• Proven people leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of designers
• Strong track record of building and supporting collaborative, high-performing teams
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Deep expertise in residential construction methods, materials, building codes, and FF&E specification
• Exceptional design sensibility with ability to balance aesthetics, function, and budget
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to inspire, motivate, and provide constructive feedback
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly when guiding team members through challenges
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Self-directed, operating with 90-95% autonomy
• Portfolio demonstrating successful execution of high-end residential projects
Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 annually

This is an on site role in office (Abbotsford, BC) with primarily office-based work in a collaborative studio setting with regular site visits to construction sites and client home installations.

We’re seeking a highly organized, customer-focused individual to join us in the role of Administrative and Sales Assistant on a maternity leave contract, with a minimum term of 18 months.
As our front-of-house lead, you’ll make a lasting first impression with our clients, support our sales team, and help keep our operations running smoothly. This role blends administrative excellence with sales support—qualifying leads, coordinating intake meetings, developing proposals, maintaining accurate CRM data, and keeping our team organized and equipped.
In addition, you’ll support our culture by planning internal events and overseeing day-to-day office needs with pride and ownership. You love systems, you thrive on keeping things running seamlessly, and people are naturally drawn to your warm and professional communication.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Provide a WOW experience for our clientele by ensuring timely and professional communication to clients, prospects, and vendors
• Ensure lead and client data is maintained and accurate in our CRM
• Ensure process is followed for every design project, working closely with the Project Coordinator to elevate the client experience
• Prepare Fee Proposals and other document packages to ensure every project and every client has the right information at the right time
• Coordinate and plan internal team events, and support logistics for client and vendor events
• Champion and own all day-to-day office needs (e.g., ordering supplies, coordinating cleaners, maintaining office readiness)
• Continuously look for efficiencies and improvements in how we deliver our “High Tech for High Touch” experience
Qualifications
• High school diploma required; post-secondary diploma an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• At least 3 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with CRM systems considered a strong asset
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Naturally administrative—loves creating order and process
• Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a high-performance, team-driven culture
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and seeing tasks through to completion
Compensation is between $21.00-$26.00 with experience
