Just Add Greenery

 The foliage at Christmas time is a fave! We love decorating with fresh garland, mini trees, and evergreen wreaths – just bringing the outdoors inside provides all kinds of nostalgia and tradition for us. We want to help you jump into the holidays with some seasonal greenery ideas for your home. 
 
 

Mini trees are a charming way to add festivity to any room in your house.  They can help balance out other greenery and add texture to your décor. And, if you want to put one beside your front door, that’s a great idea too!
 
What’s the holidays without garland - faux, fresh or a mix of the 2?! Hang garland on banisters or railings, inside or out. A mantel is not quite complete without its fair share of garland. Hanging or placing garland in unexpected spaces can be fun: on top of the piano, frame the hood in the kitchen, or draped over a tall bookshelf.
 
A wreath on the front door seems obvious, however, at Christmas, bring them indoors and hang them in front of a mirror, windows, or above a bed. This is a great way to bring Christmas festivity into many rooms of your home.

As we enter November and the days are getting shorter, I feel this sense of anticipation hanging over me. Unsure if it’s the waiting of our renovations to come to an end, or Christmas on the horizon, an end to a pandemic, or the lighter and warmer days that we miss already. We all experience some form of anticipation whether it is in our dreams or thoughts or for something or someone. Whatever it is, anticipation makes us wait. How I choose to wait is in the spirit of hopeful expectation – savouring the journey as much as the outcome. So, while I anticipate these things, I am going to enjoy the waiting by embracing each day as a gift.
