Su Casa Design Trends:

Our Top 5 House Design Trends for 2022

There is something about looking ahead at the beginning of the year and the predictions and anticipations that await. One of those things that gets us fired up at Su Casa is looking at what’s happening in the design world, the predicted colours-of-the-year, and trending styles that are staking claim in our industry.

Here is what we rounded up as our favorite top 5 house design trends we are looking forward to seeing more of:

1. Kitchen Range Hood Features:

Design: Jeffery Dungan Architects

Kitchen hoods, although not new, have become the primary focal point in the kitchen again. They are showing up larger and more detailed and taking centerstage in kitchens.

2. Symmetrical Design Layouts (Kitchen & Bathroom)

Design:  SmithErickson Designs Inc.

Design:  Thomas Melhom

The timelessness this look creates is what we want to design more of at Su Casa.

3. Butler Pantries

Design: Jean Stoffer Design

Not only are butler pantries being incorporated more, but they are also being designed with intentional interior design alongside it. No longer are the pantries a storage or “hiding” space, but rather a functional and beautiful space too.

4. Home Offices (Work From Home Spaces)

Design: Kate Marker Interiors

The WFH office has taken a priority in renovations and new builds. Designing a beautiful space that allows you to separate work from home is a must.

5. Pet Stations

Design: Stephanie Jean Design

Although, not “new” per se, we are seeing more and more spaces for beloved pets incorporated into custom homes.
