We have loved Nam’s style since seeing her show up quite regularly in some of our favorite design magazines. She’s a fellow Canadian designer, has been featured in multiple publications, and was House and Home's 2018 Designer of the Year.

Her mix of modern and traditional, using classic French inspired details and adding a modern edge to it, is visually captivating.

The blending of old and new we absolutely love!

Her style uses lots of neutrals with soft hints of color throughout and has a well-traveled vibe that we love to draw inspiration from.

TOP TRENDS WE ARE SEEING (& LOVING) IN 2021

One of the things we love about entering a new year is all the forecasting of the coming year’s trends!
We have been watching a couple of these really move into the limelight and are taking notes on our favorites.

So, we rounded up the trends we are most excited about (and will likely be incorporated into Andy’s home renovation), as well as some that we are keeping our eye on.

And one of the trends we found on the “top trend list” that made our skin crawl is the grandmillenial-style with its inspiration coming from the comfort of grandma’s home.

Needlepoint, floral curtains, small patterns…this is one trend we think it might take us a while to warm up to!!

Can you guess our faves? Check out this week's Instagram posts to hear more about these design styles that are giving us all those new-but-old” feels.

A Note From Andy

We are now in the middle of winter and I am so excited because we are that much closer to starting our home renovations in the spring!

I am loving those trends we are seeing that feel classic. We are leaning toward a Tudor-style exterior because I love the old character charm and timelessness.

I am trying to be cautious to not be too trendy because I want it to stand the test of time. Although its new, I want it to feel old.

After so many moves, we plan on staying put for a while!

As for the interior, you will likely see me embracing the trends that lean towards a more classic look: warmer creamier tones, bleached oaks, and brass fixtures to give us an old-new charm. We want the space to feel lived in and welcoming. Can’t wait!
